There may be several reasons for this, and today we will talk about one of them. This year, one of the common causes of yellowing of grass is fungal diseases. Outwardly, it is very similar to rust on blades of grass. A cool spring with plenty of moisture and sharp temperature fluctuations are exactly what rust needs to develop.

To combat fungal diseases, we recommend to use Falcon or Abacus fungicides. In this case, the first treatments has to be carried out, as soon as the grass begins to grow.

It is advisable to carry out the first treatment before combing, and the second after it. This is due to the fact, that some of the spores may remain intact overwinter in felt and plant debris and, during scarification, can easily be spread to areas that have not yet been treated.

If only one treatment is carried out, it is the best to be done immediately after scarification, using systemic drugs. If dry weather is not expected and the disease still appears again, the treatment can be repeated throughout the season. The application rate is 8-10 ml per 10 liters of water per 80-100 sq.m. When processing, be sure to use personal protective equipment.
