WATER SOURCES

There are 2 types of water source for an irrigation system:

  • municipal water supply
  • a pumping station, which can be in the house or outdoors
  1. Shut off the water supply to the container and make a uniform spill of all watering zones, or connect a hose and pour water into a storm drain or other place. This process must be monitored so that the pump does not start sucking air at the end, it is necessary to leave 10-15 cm of water in the tank.
If it is a municipal water supply, simply turn off the water supply tap.
  2. Blow out the water supply pipe to the container with a compressor.
  3. Disconnect the pump from the power supply, shut off all the valves of the pumping station.
  4. Connect the compressor after the pump to the purge valve.
  5. First, blow out all the water intake columns (where you connect the hose) one by one. The easiest way is to find the farthest from the pump one and empty the line through it.
  6. Blow each zone through the controller 2-3 times until the air flows well.
  7. Open the solenoid on each valve on 180 degrees (more is possible, but it does not need to be completely unscrewed), and open the bleed bolt on the valve.
  8. Leave all water intake columns and other taps outside in a half-open state (not fully open, but halfway open).
  9. Disconnect the controller from the 220 V power supply and make sure that the controller cover is tightly closed (until it clicks).
  10. Remove the pump (without draining the water) and place it in a room where it will be warm all winter.

In this manual, it is very important to follow the steps in sequence and do not change the order of actions. Otherwise, you may create additional problems.

If you have any problems, call a specialists.
